Practice Rules These rules apply to all groups:
Gold Group Swimmers must be able to swim all four strokes legally. Swimmers must have the physical stamina to handle two hours of water time. Must be able to hold 10 x 100 freestyle on a two minute base interval. The minimum age is 11 (exceptions may be made for exception 10 year olds). Silver Group Swimmers must be able to swim all four strokes legally. Practice time is generally one hour per day. Swimmers should be able to hold 10 x 50 freestyle on a 1 minute 20 second base interval. The minimum age is eight. Bronze Group Swimmers in this group must be able to swim 25 yards of freestyle non-stop with side breathing. Swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards of backstroke non-stop. The minimum age is approximately six. Development Group Swimmers must be water safe and have a general working knowledge of freestyle and backstroke. |
